One friend pays for Spotify. Two are on Apple Music. Your brother still uses Yandex Music. Each app shows friends inside its own walls, so the group chat turns into the place where track links go unopened.

What each app shows you today

Spotify. Listening Activity, in the iOS app since January 2026. You see the track a friend plays at that moment. Only friends on Spotify, and only if they turned it on.
Apple Music. Follow a friend's profile, then scroll to Friends Are Listening To. Only people on Apple Music, and only what they chose to share.
Yandex Music. No friends feed.

What Daycut does instead

You connect the service you use. Each friend connects theirs. Once a day, at one random moment that is the same for everyone, Daycut cuts your day down to up to 10 tracks you played. You send your cut, and your friends' cuts open. Tap a track and it plays in your own app, whichever one that is.

The rules that make it work

Both ways or nothing. You see a friend's cut after you send yours.
Skipping is free. A cut you did not send stays invisible.
Your history stays yours. Daycut reads plays from the service you connected and shows friends the cut, nothing more. Details in the privacy policy.

Questions

Does my friend need the same app as me?

No. Spotify, Apple Music and Yandex Music each work on their own. SoundCloud is next.

Is it live?

No. One cut per day, built from what you played before the moment hit. Your friends see the day as a whole.

Android?

iOS only for now. Daycut is on the App Store.
